Public Video / Open Spam: Day Four
Nov. 21st, 2012 11:23 pm[A day with the ghost of her father, a day of total hedonism, and one more day of being a hung over invalid. While Leslie hasn't spent the port in any particular danger, she has been exceedingly distracted. And been so very organized about it that she's caused everyone who was at the party (parties?) to be distracted as well.
It's unlike her, to be this negligent during a port. This given to distraction.
Now, after a shower and a walk through the garden -- one expansive look at the ground, she finally remembers why. What it was that the hotel was trying so hard to make her forget.]
Listen, everyone. I know where we are. I know exactly what this place--
[There's a scream, as she drops her communicator.]
Freaking BUSHES? REALLY?
[Then line stays open, but all the viewer will see is snow.]

She can smell her dad, again. Like he was back in her room, talking to her. It calms her, but it also keeps her very, very still.]

Unfortunately, he doesn't know that she's stopped running somewhere in that short time span.]

Date: 2012-11-27 09:05 pm (UTC)Somewhere, in the back of her mind, a voice tells her to wait. To stand still.]
Listen. There's a book, on earth--
[The animals approach. Leslie stays upright. Raises her arms, tries to look as big as possible. That's what works for bears, right?
It's only as the animals surround her that she realizes that she's been listening to a bastardized version of her father's advice this whole time. That that's what caused her to get out in the open in the first place, when the real man's advice almost assuredly would have involved a locked closet and firearms.
It all happens quickly. When Sandoval looks up, the only evidence that Leslie was ever even outside is a chain of footprints.]
